). Readiness: most parents don't have what it takes to be a parent, some give birth out of wedlock while some ladies get impregnated and they get jilted, leaving them to cater for the child alone. They end up raising the child with bitterness, frustration, uncaring heart, and anger They tend to pure out those feelings on the child.
). Self belief: every individual have his or her own beliefs (either positive or negative) and they teach it to their children not giving it a second thought what impact that will put on their children.
). Self morals: not all parents have the proper ethical or righteous values to raise a child. They don't mind showing of their bad habits right in the presence of their children without thinking about the effects that will bring to the child.
). Communication: personally i believe this is the most important and less considered value of parenting, parents don't take in consideration how communication with your child(ren) can help build a strong disciplined foundation with your child(ren). Through communication you can know the strengths and weaknesses of any child and help understand their feelings, it can help discipline a child.
). Discipline: every parent have this mentality that a child can only be disciplined with the rode, that's true but not "only" with the rode. There are a other ways to discipline your child and they are very effective. A typical African parent will always consider a serious beating when a child do wrong without knowing that a child can adapt to that pain and keep repeating that same thing over again. Communication should not be the last result, because sometimes it can be too late for that. Parent should develope a goid communication skills that will impact positive values to the children.
Parent should always take proper measures on how to raise their child.
